The reason behind the name, “Southern Belle Remix”. I am a Southern Belle, and I had to “remix” my life to make things easier for me. I had to remix recipes and my lifestyle when I was diagnosed with Hashimotos Thyroid Disease (an autoimmune thyroid disease) in 2013. I was a new mom and I knew that I wanted to be as healthy as possible for myself and my family. I began to notice that there was a correlation between the foods I ate and how I felt. I decided to eliminate the foods that made my condition worse. I adapted the gluten and dairy free lifestyle in 2013. I created Southern Belle Remix in 2016 and the rest is history!
